Spanish term or phrase: cardada
A description of the attitude of the upper classes by a Spanish writer:

NB: Pax OGV, I don't deny that it could mean backcombed, but I think my suggestion works better, and even more so if we use ormiston's suggestion "impeccably coiffed" (10,600 results in an online search).

agree  Tomasso: My first guess much like inglish word to CARD, To comb (Wool) peinado clasico talvez de Barcelona https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cardado
10 mins
-> I saw carded too but seems more suitable for wool.

neutral  ormiston: Your two suggestions are not compatible!
13 mins
-> i guess is one or another, thanks

agree  Elizabeth Joy Pitt de Morales: Backcombed. Also "teased" or "ratted". Bridget Bardot was quite the fan early in her career.

agree  neilmac: IMHO "coiffed" is still the best option in this case... I think "backcombed"is too specific.
