Swedish term or phrase: hamnhus

I know what a hamnhus is, but what is the term for this generally used in English?

I have seen it as Harbour House, but I think "Port House" would be better.

I should shanty say that your efforts go beyond the call of the Harbour Master.
Anyway, that was my point -- that the term/name is vague and not clearly defined. It could be many different things. (and the client here has IMPO misnamed it.)

Is this the building where the harbo(u)rmaster has their office? Or is this a modern housing development built along the disused wharf or harbor shoreline? I looked up your term and got many more hits for the latter (which surprised me). The latter could be called many things for marketing purposes, as say, Harbor View, Port View, Quay Apartments (or Estates), or whatever. Here's the idea https://www.harborviewnavyyard.com/

Personally, I think a town or city might name it in accordance with the name of the location, the geographical features (natural harbour?) and the activities there. We say the Port of Dover so there it would likely be named "Port House", but elsewhere it might be better named "Harbour House"

Pork house is an option but I prefer the more literal ham house. But whatever you do don’t fall into the trap of calling it a bacon house.

Just a suggestion - it will depend on the context, but 'hus' often doesn't refer to a 'house' as such. House is a residential building, but a 'hamnhus' probably isn't.

With Good Christian relatives living on Ham Common outside Richmond-upon-Thames, I'm picking up on Deane's wharf idea. Hamnkontor: harbo(u)r or harbo(u)rmaster's office, Gullberg.

This is one instance where we need a picture, as my own visualis/zation from London export clerking days is a wharf warehouse charging our Thames-side factory reasonable 'wharfage' for raw materials in/ inputs and products out.

"Port administration building" may be a bit ponderous for your purpose. In UK, we have, for example, Harbour Office (Fowey), Port Office(s) (Shoreham, Portsmouth). I suggest Port Office or Harbour Office.
As Diarmuid says, 'house' should be avoided.
