It doesn't necessarily mean that the young tyke is barefoot, but that he is completely able to walk by himself, were it not for the interfering old hags who had nothing better to do than poke their noses in! I've witnesses similar incidents on the metro but i wont go into details :-)
The onlookers should mind their own f*cking business, it's got nowt to do with them!
I feel sorry for the donkey!
