Indonesian term or phrase: Tim Uji Kelayakan Lingkungan
Legal Document, Indonesia:

The new AMDAL regulation based on PP No. 22/2021, stipulates that this Team (Tim) finally inspects on the scope (KA-ANDAL) and environmental documents such as ANDAL (including RKL/RPL) and UKL/UPL, etc.

Using the google translation application, the terminology converts into english translation of "Environmental Due Diligence Team". However, based on my knowledge, I understand that EDD in general (not just in Indonesia), is commonly known as one of the M&A transaction process, whereby the buyer checks to investigate on seller's properties, whether there are any groundwater or soil contamination possibilities within their premise, since it will become an extra cost risk for requirement of environmental remediation. Normally, EDD based on US ASTM standard Phase 1 Study is conducted in this respect.

Therefore, automatic translation of EDD Team seem strange.

The new AMDAL regulation above, doesn't seem to have an english translation version yet (maybe because it is still a new regulation).

I am at a loss, so what might be the formal english translation for this Team name?? I appreciate very much for anyone's assistance in this respect. Thank you.

Environmental Eligibility Committee

Explanation:
I would argue that if there isn't a word/phrase to describe it, you've got to make one yourself and put parentheses/footnotes upon introducing the term.

I checked out the document and went through some quick skimming to see how PP No. 22/2021 defines Tim Uji Kelayakan Lingkungan.

In short, their job description mostly concern with the matter of eligibility (exclusion and inclusion criteria), inspecting (like you said) screening plans/designs, analyzing significant impact on the environment from a planned business and/or activity, advising the authority upon decision-making, certifying experts and the like. It seems like they're part of this 'fit and proper test' scheme except it's regarding the environment.

I chose the word committee instead of 'team' because I'm certain that Tim Uji Kelayakan Lingkungan is more than just a 'team'. They work on a project (long term, in this case) and want to accomplish something. A committee is a team delegated to consider some matters.

As for the word 'eligibility', Merriam-Webster dictionary defines it as quality of fitness or suitability to be chosen, selected, or allowed to do something. So, pretty much self-explanatory.

Hope it helps,
