English term or phrase: THE SETENCES ARE GIVEN BELOW DUE TO SPACE ISSUE.
1.EVEN THEY CAN BE HELPED IF THEY HAVE THE DESIRE TO GET BETTER AND RETURN TO BEING USEFUL MEMBERS OF SOCIETY.

2.THESE SUFFERERS DON'T FEEL MUCH PAIN, FOR THEY ARE BEYOND PAIN, BUT THEY FEEL HELPLESS AND UNABLE TO MOVE THEMSELVES.

PLZ NOTE THIS IS A MEDICAL BOOK WRITTEN IN ENGLISH BUT I FOUND A LOT OF GRAMMAR MISTAKES SO FEEL FREE TO TELL IF THERE IS ANY GRAMMAR MISTAKE IN THE ABOVE 2 SENTENCES.

FOR EXAMPLE IN FIRST SENTENCE (BEING) IS USED AFTER (TO)
FOR EXAMPLE IN THE SECOND SENTENCE ( FOR THEY ARE BEYOND PAIN)

IF POSSIBLE PLZ GUIDE THE WORDS IN THE BRACKETS ARE GRAMMATICALLY CORRECT.

Explanation:
I don't think that here the use of preposition is correct because
in the first sentence "return to being useful......" does not fits the sentence at all.

if we change preposition, it changes the entire meaning of the word/sentence. But here in the first sentence use of "To" after "return" does not deliver any logical meaning instead makes confusion. there is no rule which may bound you to consider that a source material could not have mistakes in it. There might be a grammatical or composing error in the source material. So I would suggest translating the first sentence as under;

"IF THEY HAVE THE DESIRE TO GET BETTER AND RETURN for BEING USEFUL MEMBERS OF SOCIETY."

and for the second sentence, I will go with Mr Irfan Ullah's suggestion. you can simply translate it

\ FOR THEY ARE BEYOND PAIN/
because they are beyond pain

the setences are given below due to space issue.
To Being...

Explanation:
As regards the first sentence, the word "to" is used as preposition showing direction and "being" as noun showing "existence". Means returning towards useful existence and there seem no problem with the sentence. Prepositions are usually short words, and they are normally placed directly in front of nouns and similar is the case with this sentence.

Regarding the second sentence, It is normal with native speakers and also frequently used by non natives in the sentences like in the sentence below. Again no problem with the sentence.

Example sentence(s):
  • Beyond pain and pleasure

agree  Qudsia Lone: Agreed. English text is correct. (Though, "being" here is a verb...same as "becoming"). Asker should not try to "correct" any grammar in source text. A medical text should not be translated by one so unfamiliar with its basic English construct.
