agree  Luis M. Sosa: It seems to me that this and the previous question by Asker (Cash-in amount) refer to some mutual fund. But you're right more context is needed.

  -> Gracias and thanks. Luis. Having cashed in a policy myself and seen our UK translation office switch pension schemes to Equitable Life, I - unlike tactical voter AB above - was pretty sure of the answer.
