English term or phrase: The love between father and son is eternal
The phrase is for a tattoo. The meaning I'm trying to convey is regarding the love I shared with my father (who passed away many years ago) and the love I now share with my son. So ideally I would like it to encompass the love I shared as a son and a father with them both which in English could be "the love between father and son is eternal" but I'm open to an alternative if you can think of one better suited.

I'm not sure that "Patris amor aeternum est" is sufficient as it possibly only implies my love as a father. I'm not sure that "amor inter patrem et filium aeternus est" is quite right either as I don't know if there is an unwanted connotation.

Hope that makes sense and thanks in advance!
