English term or phrase: Lean production
Lean production. A term coined by John Krafcik, of the MIT International Motor Vehicle Program, describing a form of manufacturing that uses less of everything, compared with mass production: less human effort in the factory, manufacturing space, investment in tools, engineering hours, and inventory warehouse. Lean production is also based on the principle of continuously improving products and processes, rather than meeting preordained specifications; and on sharing involvement in quality production with everyone on the organizational ladder (Source: Mintzer, 1992).

В ЦИНТИ колегите ми икономисти бяха възприели този термин, но аз винаги в го обяснявах под черта като производство с всестранна ефективност и други характеристики според случая.
Освен това според Lingvo 6 lean се превежда като непромишлено (производство), но не съм много съгласна с това тълкуване.

В ЦИНТИ колегите ми икономисти бяха възприели този термин, но аз винаги в го обяснявах под черта като производство с всестранна ефективност и други характеристики според случая.
Освен това според Lingvo 6 lean се превежда като непромишлено (производство), но не съм много съгласна с това тълкуване.
