Danish term or phrase: mellemregning
Hi - I'm trying to find the best US (and/or UK) English translation for mellemregning when used in tax accounting specifically under the Skattestyrelsens virksomhedsordningen.

There is a proz entry for mellemregningskonto as "rebill account" but that hardly fits here. It'd be nice to go with "balance" and "interim account" but I have the feeling it's not that pretty.

Here are some of the sentences it's used in in my document.

Thanks for your help!

carry-over balance
Explanation:
Indestående på mellemregningskontoen (mellemregning) : amount deposited / credit balance / on the carry-over balancing account (carry-over balance).

In terms of capital writing-down allowances, balancing statement in the USA I guess is equivalent in the UK to a balancing allowance > a plus vs. a balancing charge > a minus on disposal of an asset.

Example sentence(s):
  • US / Deloitte : balancing statement consisting of the tax written down value (TWDV) of the asset (acquisition cost less capital allowances) and the disposal.
  • f you carry over, carry down, or carry a balance, you transfer it to the next accounting period, where it will be the opening balance. Any unspent balance carried over to next year has to be reallocated.
