Izvorni tekst - English A new study published in the journal Science shows definitive evidence of organic matter on the surface of Mars. The data was collected by NASA's nuclear-powered rover Curiosity. It confirms earlier findings that the Red Planet once contained carbon-based compounds. These compounds – also called organic molecules – are essential ingredients for life as scientists understand it.
The organic molecules were found in Mars's Gale Crater, a large area that may have been a watery lake over three billion years ago. The rover encountered traces of the molecule in rocks extracted from the area. The rocks also contain sulfur, which scientists speculate helped preserve the organics even when the rocks were exposed to the harsh radiation on the surface of the planet.
Scientists are quick to state that the presence of these organic molecules is not sufficient evidence for ancient life on Mars, as the molecules could have been formed by non-living processes. But it's still one of the most astonishing discoveries, which could lead to future revelations. Especially when one considers the other startling find that Curiosity uncovered around five years ago.
The rover analyses the air around it periodically, and in 2014 it found the air contained another of the most basic organic molecules and a key ingredient of natural gas: methane. One of the characteristics of methane is that it only survives a few hundred years. This means that something, somewhere on Mars, is replenishing the supply. According to NASA, Mars emits thousands of tons of methane at a time. The level of methane rises and falls at seasonal intervals in the year, almost as if the planet is breathing it.
NASA suspects the methane comes from deep under the surface of the planet. The variations in temperature on the surface of Mars cause the molecule to flow upwards at higher or lower levels. For example, in the Martian winter the gas could get trapped in underground icy crystals. These crystals, called clathrates, melt in the summer and release the gas. However, the source of the methane is still a complete mystery.
The world of astrobiology considers both of these studies as historical milestones. According to this information, Mars is not a dead planet. On the contrary, it is quite active and may be changing and becoming more habitable.
Of course, this means further research is necessary. Scientists say they need to send new equipment to Mars, equipment that can measure the air and soil with more precision. There are already missions underway. The European Space Agency's ExoMars ship lands in 2020 and will be able to drill into the ground on Mars to analyse what it finds. Additionally, NASA is sending another Mars Rover in the same year to collect samples of Martian soil and return them to Earth.

Potvrđuje ranije pronalaske da je Crvena planeta nekada sadržavala komponente na bazi ugljenika. Ove komponente – koje se nazivaju i organskim molekulima – bitni su sastojci za život kako to naučnici shvataju.
Organske molekule su pronađene u krateru Gale na Marsu, velikom području koje je možda bilo vodeno jezero prije više od tri milijarde godina. Rover je naišao na tragove molekule u stijenama izvađenim iz tog područja. Stijene također sadrže sumpor, za koji naučnici nagađaju da je pomogao u očuvanju organskih tvari čak i kada su stijene bile izložene oštrom zračenju na površini planete.

Por eso, RTVC Sistema de Medios Públicos de Colombia organiza el Festival Iberoamericano de Podcast ‘Al oído’, un evento completamente gratuito pensado para crear comunidad alrededor del podcast.
La idea es simple: ofrecer inspiración y apoyo, además de generar diálogos de la mano de grandes podcasters, productoras independientes, plataformas de distribución y medios de comunicación tradicionales para apoyar esta industria emergente.
Qué fue lo que hicieron los grandes podcasts iberoamericanos para crecer, cómo hacer un podcast, cómo lo están haciendo en la actualidad los medios tradicionales, y cuál es el presente de la industria del podcast en la región son algunas de las preguntas que se responderán durante el evento.
Como se trata de una industria emergente, es posible que la palabra podcast suene una campana pero no sea tan clara en el imaginario colectivo. Por eso, acá te aclaramos dos puntos importantes: qué son los podcast y porque hoy en día son importantes.
¿Qué es un podcast?
Los podcasts son una serie de contenidos grabados en audio y transmitidos en línea. Estos pueden ser grabados en diferentes formatos, como por ejemplo entrevistas o conversatorios sobre un tema específico.
La palabra podcast es cada vez más conocida, y es producto de la unión entre las palabras Pod (Personal on demand) y broadcast (transmisión). Su origen, de acuerdo al conocimiento alojado en la internet, se sitúa alrededor en 2004, cuando un ingeniero usó una especificación del formato RSS para incluir archivos adjuntos.
“Facilita la conexión con los dispositivos digitales. Su facilidad de consumo la ha impulsado: desde una aplicación o desde nuestra multiplataforma favorita (como Spotify, Deezer, etc) podemos descargarlos. Ya no implica una conexión permanente a wifi, por ejemplo, o como sucedía en la radio que siempre deberías poder acceder a alguna frecuencia. La temporalidad también es un factor que ha jugado a favor, pues no obliga a un horario específico sino que se puede escuchar en cualquier momento desde que esté descargada”, explicó Mario Castro, gestor cultural y productor de Radio Universidad del Rosario.
Tipos de Podcast
Como los podcast son contenidos de audio, la imaginación es el límite a la hora de hacerlos. Sin embargo, hay algunos tipos que pueden servir de referencia para trabajar en una idea o para innovar con los productos.
Muchos de ellos son similares a los programas tradicionales de radio, como por ejemplo los formatos de conversación entre los presentadores del podcast con invitados, o también pueden ser de entrevistas.
De la misma manera pueden ser programas diarios que ofrecen todos los días algún tipo de información específica sobre una temática en particular, o por ejemplo sobre noticias de algún campo de interés específico, como por ejemplo las astrología.
También se puede hacer a la vieja usanza de lobo solitario, donde el podcaster se enfrenta sólo a la audiencia y habla durante determinado tiempo de una temática relacionada con los intereses de su público. Recientemente también se han visto podcast muy sencillos que a manera de reality se concentran en contar la vida de una sola persona en su día a día.
Otros son conocidos por ser referentes para solucionar preguntas que surgen todo el tiempo estilo buscador de google o solucionador de enigmas en los foros virtuales. Otros cuentan historias y otros sirven para apoyar clases de los profesores.
En fin, la imaginación es el límite.
¿Por qué son importantes los podcast en la actualidad?
“Son importantes porque han democratizado la producción de contenidos de audio, además de que se han expandido y desarrollado nuevos formatos. Cualquier persona con un dispositivo digital, una grabadora, o casi con lo que tenga a la mano puede producirlos, claro con algo de conocimiento técnico pero nada tan especializado”, aseguró Castro.
De acuerdo con Mario, quien produce varios podcast, estos también han permitido que desde empresas grandes a pequeñas empresas, e incluso particulares, hayan encontrado en estos contenidos una forma sencilla y eficiente de promocionar sus productos. Se ha convertido en una herramienta de marketing poderosa.
Cómo ganar dinero con un podcast
Los podcast pueden ser una medio para ganar dinero de forma directa o indirecta.
De forma indirecta implica que el podcast es una herramienta por medio de la cual un podcaster se posiciona como experto en algún campo y dicho posicionamiento lo hace conocido y por tanto consultado, al punto de ser llamado como conferencista o pagado como consultor en su área de experticia.
Pero también existe la posibilidad de que una voz y un estilo se vuelven tan populares que marcas que estén buscando posicionarse quieran buscar al podcaster para ayudarles en esa misión a través de la creación de sus contenidos de audio. El “patrocinio” es una de estas formas para hacer dinero aquí.
Monetizar un canal de audio es otra manera de lograr lucrarse de las habilidades podcasters. Es como el modelo de los “Youtubers” pero con podcast. En este sentido, también se puede hacer a través de donaciones del público que, como agradecimiento al buen rato que genera uno de estos contenidos deciden voluntariamente ayudar a los productores de podcast.

That's why RTVC Colombian System of Public Media organizes the Ibero-American Podcast Festival ‘Al oído’, a completely free event designed to create community around the podcast.
The idea is simple: offer inspiration and support, as well as generate dialogues with great podcasters, independent producers, distribution platforms and traditional media to support this emerging industry.
What did the great Ibero-American podcasts do to grow, how to make a podcast, how are traditional media currently doing it, and what is the present of the podcast industry in the region are some of the questions that will be answered during the event.
As this is an emerging industry, the word podcast may ring a bell but it's not as clear in the collective imagination. Therefore, here we clarify two important points: what podcasts are and why they are important today.
What is a podcast?
Podcasts are a series of audio-recorded content streamed online. These can be recorded in different formats, such as interviews or conversations on a specific topic.
The word podcast is increasingly known, and is the product of the union between the words Pod (Personal on demand) and broadcast (transmission). Its origin, according to the knowledge hosted on the internet, is located around 2004, when an engineer used a specification of the RSS format to include attachments.
“It makes it easier to connect with digital devices. Its ease of consumption has boosted it: from an application or from our favorite cross-platform (such as Spotify, Deezer, etc.) we can download them. It no longer implies a permanent connection to wifi, for example, or as happened in the radio that you should always be able to access some frequency. Temporality is also a factor that has played in favor, since it does not require a specific schedule but can be heard at any time since it was downloaded", explained Mario Castro, cultural manager and producer of Radio Universidad del Rosario.
Podcast Types
As podcasts are audio content, imagination is the limit when it comes to making them. However, there are some types that can serve as a reference to work on an idea or to innovate with products.
Many of them are similar to traditional radio programs, such as the conversation formats between podcast hosts with guests, or they can also be interviews.
In the same way, they can be daily programs that offer some type of specific information on a particular topic every day, or for example on news in a specific field of interest, such as astrology.
It can also be done in the old lone wolf way, where the podcaster faces only the audience and speaks for a certain time on a topic related to the interests of his audience. Recently we have also seen very simple podcasts that, like reality shows, focus on telling the life of a single person in their day to day.

Why are podcasts important today?

Podcasts can be a means to make money directly or indirectly.
