Since our foundation in Prague in 1994, Skrivanek Translation Services has expanded to become one of the largest language service companies, not just in the Czech Republic, but in the whole of Central and Eastern Europe. Driven by customer demand, and thanks to our outstanding customer-focused service, Skrivanek currently has 47 branches in most European countries such as Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, and now in the USA.

Significant projects

2003 - translation for Siemens of approximately 260,000 words into each of three languages within one month (project required teams of translators to work inhouse in three locations using Trados Team Edition)

2003 - translation of 200,000 words into Hungarian for a leading German business equipment mail order firm (Trados 5.5 Team Edition)

2002-2003 - translations of manuals of up to 300,000 words into five languages for Philips (projects required teams of translators using Trados Team Edition)

2002-2003 - translation of approximately 52,000 words in manuals for a Canadian manufacturer of injection moulding systems (Trados)

2002-2003 - translation of approximately 125,000 words in manuals for a major tractor manufacturer (Trados)
