OK, I shall try one more time. We need to convey the meaning of a store in a close proximity/walking distance to/from our house. Convinient store does not do the job. It may or it may not be located next door, and no American will derive from "I got it at the c.s." that a person was right next to his house. In a proper context specifying "MY c.s." - yes, but when a term requires additional description to deliver the meaning, it can not be used in a generic context.

: There is a kind of chain store ("Семь шагов") providing "convenience store" services. It is like 7-11, Beckers Milk, Spar, Londis, FamilyMart etc in USA, Europe, UK and other parts of the world. Please admit it. You are going a wrong way.

I think the convenience store mentioned in asker\'s context has a similar name (7 steps away) to its US cousin (7-eleven).
There was an attempt in Mongolia to imitate this worldwide convenience store.
