Majority of activities under the component have been completed. The international consulting company with the responsibility for taking the lead on farmer training in sound manure management practices and biogas generation from animal manure, support to local producers willing to start manufacturing of biodigesters or their components in Moldova, as well as support to the biodigester pilot investment sites under Component 3 has been working with CEPIU since July 2012. The local consulting company to provide training to farmers on the various subjects related to sustainable manure management practices and biodigestion has been working since April 2012. Training manuals and handouts (brochures) in sustainable manure management practices, biogas generation from animal manure for generation of biogas, and installation, operation and maintenance of biodigesters were prepared under the project
