Kilns - clay production
The document describes a modernisation process for a kiln and analyses the quality of the " Ton" which is produced in the plant. There are 4 graphs which are titled "Blähversuche mit Ton, Belgorod(the plant)". Could anyone help me with the correct translation for Blähversuche in this context, TIA.

Bucksch, Dict. of geological engineering, gives “swelling index” for “Blähzahl”

bloating experiment

Note from asker:
Hello Uta, thank you for your suggestion. The client preferred swelling/expanding as opposed to bloating. |

: Genau, hier geht es um Blähton. Bekanntes Produkt ist LECA (Lightweight Expanded Clay Aggregate).
