agree Jack Doughty : "Excess pressure" would be better than "excessive". Thanks for the link, I hadn't come across "plenum" before (apart from Пленум ЦК КПСС), but I have confirmed it from my own technical dictionaries.

Thank you for a commentry. Of cource you, as a native speaker, feel what is better "excess" or "excessive", but for me it is difficult to distinct meanings of these.
