A few weeks back I replied to a forum post about a macro that allowed you to automatically get a google translation for a segment in trados. I can no longer find this forum post and my reply is not in my forum history.

Do forum posts somtimes get removed?
Could the person who made this post contact me as I can't disinstall the macro.
Thanks

Advertising - yes or no Nov 25, 2009

Hi Lucia,

I'd very much appreciate if you stated more precisely in which way the posting in question constituted advertising. At any rate, the posting headline alone would not have been sufficient to breach the no-advertising rule since it merely referred to adding another, supplementary tool to Trados. Otherwise we'd have to stop any Trados-related discussion for good, too, because it also refers to (advertises?) a product.

Steffen

Software promotion Nov 25, 2009

Hi Steffen,

Just to clarify, the thread in question promoted a software that had a price attached.

Now, as for forum rule #14, I am locking this thread.

You are welcome to submit any doubts via the support system.

Regards,

Lucia
