rape/canola - one person's view
I agree with Dorene, but nonetheless I still use rape, rapeseed, etc., since I think of canola as a vegetable oil in a bottle on the grocery shelf rather than a plant or its seeds/products. Since I'm so old I don't think about rape in the other, non-plant, context!
