Norwegian term

hvilesmerter

Norwegian to English Medical Medical (general) pains - amputation
Are these simply pains while at rest, or is there another more 'medical' term for it?
Context: rjerning av ekstremitet p.g.a. gangren eller uutholdelige hvilesmerter.
Advice appreciated.

Backpain caused by sudden decrease in activity

"Hvilesmerter" is an accepted medical term in Norwegian and Danish, but I have difficulties finding a direct translation to English.
Hvilesmerter is pain caused by a sudden decrease in muscle-activity, which results in trouble with the blood-circulation and pain.
