Italian to English Law/Patents Real Estate Property classification
In a "Visura per soggetto" attached to an architect's appraisal, under the heading "Diritti e oneri reali", which I understand means Land charges and fees is the term above. Not really sure what to make of it, as my first guess, total ownership, does not fit under the category of taxes payable by a land owner. Grateful for any help.

Piggybacking the refs. above, I reckon ‰ would be a far commoner way in Eng-speaking countries to arraive at the 1000/1000 (BE) apportionment/(AE) allocation.

means 100% ownership. It is common to refer to real estate property in these terms, as often it was subdivided among co-owners and heirs.

agree Sarah Ferrara : property in comunione is often expressed in millesimi, particularly condominiums. The shared (communal) part of the property is divided between the owners of private parts and expressed in thousandths, in which case there will be a "tabella millesimali".

Alexandra, are you sure that "Diritti e oneri" are "charges and fees? My guess is that your first guess towards "total ownership" was pretty much close. "Diritti" are (ownership) rights (titles), and "oneri" I think possible burdens, charges on the property... I would say that "proprieta 1000/000" means that one "owns thousand parts of a thousand parts", i.e. the whole. Don't see any tax issue in "diritti e oneri reali", but of course, the context might require otherwise...

Hi, Alexandra, I believe "potra" gave a very good explanation and that it is clear now... I am not a native speaker of Italian, but am familiar with this type of subdivisions (I have inherited 13/68 of forest land o:)), don't ask me what's the percentage:)

Hi bonafide, I'm just not sure what angle to take; either the term indicates what tax rate/mill rate applies to the property (it is a building worth EUR 51K) or it is an indication of degree of ownership, but I would have thought that would have been expressed in a percentage, rather than thousandths.
