Grenzmuster is a term used for samples (eg of printed packaging materials) showing the maximum and minimum tolerance levels for colours etc. Normally a Grenzmusterkarte consists of three samples, one showing the standard required, one the minumum acceptable deviation and one the maximum acceptable deviation. The QC checker just has to compare samples of incoming goods with the maximum and minimum acceptance samples and decide if the incoming goods are acceptable or not.
