I think the word "real" in Spanish is a good example. There are several football clubs in Spain using that word for their names e.g. Real Madrid, Real Zaragoza, Real Sociedad. (Real means "royal" in Spanish)

Post #4 Also, I am sure that you have heard jokes and stories (some of them embarrassing) about the common words in Turkish and Azerbaijani. E.g: Az: /şekil/ "photograph" & Tr: /şekil/ "form".
So, if "false cognate" was the question here, we would probably suggest similar phrases. (*) is a must.

Post #3 False cognates are two words from different languages and different roots whose audial and visual forms are similar. E.g: Hindustani /kutya/ 'dog' & Hungarian /kutya/ 'dog'. The former is an Indo-European Language, the second is an Uralic Language. In other words, they have different ancestors.

Though the offered terms substantially meet the meaning, Linguistics departments in Turkey have not declared an official and standard term for this one. This may be paraphrased as "denotationally inequivalent sememes", "equivocal words" or simply "homonyms" so as to crosscheck and for the sake of brainstorming. But I'd abstain from using it without an asterisk, because the mentioned terms are created (translated) by linguists who study Turkic languages, I think the term needs an interlinguistic lexicalization by Turkish linguists. "False friends" and "false cognates" are not synonymous, by the way.
