La expresión "or even hot" aquí significa claramente un calor que resulta molesto o difícil de tolerar, diferenciado de la sensación de calor (warm), que puede ser discretamente molesto o no.
A la hora de traducir "feeling (...) warm or even hot", creo que la diferencia clara entre lo que es una sensación de calor (feeling warm) y una sensación de ardor (hot; "calor grande", tal y como define "ardor" el DRAE), funciona perfectamente en castellano, por ejemplo para referirse a una sensación cutánea; una sensación (...) de calor o incluso de ardor, donde ardor estaría funcionando como equivalente a una sensación de calor excesivo o particularmente molesto.
