A storm porch is simply an enclosed porch or patio that is completely protected from the elements, by glass windows, aluminium or vinyl siding panels, so that it can be used year-round. штормовой подход, штормовой (запасный, аварийный) выход (двери)

This combination is not too frequent.

I met once that combination Storm Porch when they spoke on a place with huge amounts of snow falling in winters (Alaska?). By that SP they meant a secondary entrance (not so pretty as the main entrance) which was easily opening and leading to the road.

The second meaning I can recall is a part on ship's deck covered by roof for passage in storm conditions.

Recall also that "storm door" means the outer door when you have double doors.

I would like to congratulate you with coming New Year!

Sincerely yours,
Dr. T.S. Tagirov
