I think freehold is very similar to hak milik in Indonesia; as opposed to leasehold, which is hak guna bangunan in Indonesia.

well, after reading the reference below, I think leasehold is not only limited to hak guna bangunan but also includes hak guna usaha, hak pakai, as well as hak sewa.
