Is there any industry standard for translating numbers? I always kept them in English, but the client is asking for a reference now. Anyone can help?

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10... this is the proper pattern. I translate documents for remarkable a number of clients for a long. Among them a good number of clients provided me guidelines for translation. All of them, without any exception, suggested me to follow this pattern.

P.S. My personal experience in that English is International and most speakers of Bengali would understand, but many of them will not understand Bengali numbers.
