I disagree with all the above answers. The question concerns a strict pharmacokinetical term which cannot be replaced by any synonyms. The only possible answer in the context of pharmacokinetics is "model-independent methods". Model-dependent methods are the methods using cpmpartmental and physiological models of drug transfer in the organism; model independent methods are those allowing the estimation|calculation of such pharmacokinetic parameters as total clearance, apparent volume distribution and mean retention time.
