"If the CTG trace is pathological, offer digital fetal scalp stimulation. If this leads to acceleration in fetal heart rate, only continue with fetal blood sampling if the cardiotocograph trace is still pathological.
If digital fetal scalp stimulation (during vaginal examination) leads to acceleration in fetal heart rate, regard this as a sign that the baby is healthy. Take this into account when reviewing the whole clinical picture." file:///C:/Users/emily/Downloads/Fetal-monitoring-during-labour.pdf

"Vaginal examination (VE).
Two fingers are inserted into the vagina to see how much the cervix is dilating and to assess the progress of the labour." First stage of labour

How I understand it is that a vaginal examination was performed due to changes on the CTG which found a first-degree tear with 1000 ml blood loss

I frequently see English acronyms in Italian texts, it's not unusual

Vacuum Extractor
Nella mia personale interpretazione, poiché si è riscontrata una anomalia alla CardioTocoGrafia, si è deciso di procedere con l'utilizzo di una ventosa ostetrica ("vacuum extractor") che ha provocato una lacerazione.
