@JudyC You are right, but I couldn't find occurrences with "circumferential pleural effusions".
I found "diffuse pleural effusion" or as highlighted by Liz "uniformly extended throughout the lung" but IMO they didn't describe well the sentence "risale a camicia"
JudyC Aug 11, 2022:
As far as I know,
Versamento is effusion, i.e. fluid between the two pleural layers
Ispessimento is thickening, i.e. usu. fibrosis, scarring of the pleura

another interesting article https://www.ajronline.org/doi/pdfplus/10.2214/ajr.154.3.2106...

I wouldn't translate in this case "risale". It isn't necessary

circumferential pleural thickening/shadow https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3273919/

figure 1 is very similar to that one on page 32 of the first occurrence
Luigi Argentino Aug 11, 2022:
Image Here it is an image (page 32) of a "versamento a camicia".
I don't know if there is a specific term in English.

I could suggest " circumferential pleural thickening". I'm going to find occurrences.
