This chapter is a case study on modeling loss costs for motorcycle collision insurance. It covers two approaches to loss cost modeling:
http://www.cambridge.org/core/books/abs/predictive-modeling-...

Should actuaries build separate models for frequency and severity, or should they build a single model for loss costs?

claims load modelling

_ ought to trip off the tongue.

Note the BrE spelling of modelling with 2 'Ls' when AmE spelling is literally uncalled for.
Example sentence:

together with the past claims Cij, we obtain the estimator/predictor for the total claims load (ultimate claim) CiJ for accident year i.

Ultimate loss ratios need to be estimated prior to applying this method. ... Where Cik denotes the accumulated total claims amount of accident year i
