The narrator is a poor woman who cleans houses for a living.

Could it be translated as something along the lines of "it blew my mind/made me immensely happy"?

Just google the phrase and you'll find that it's an acceptable English collocation and part of the English corpus.

Amazed me

I think the expression here is for a person, and mindblowing might be used for the things only, the sentence simply means I am very happy with the person.
