Discussion

Suzie Withers Sep 5, 2020:
I think it means that the VAT is paid at the point when the customer pays for the service (encaissements meaning payment), rather than at the point when the invoice is raised for the service (sur les débits). These seem to be the different options for businesses who are registered for VAT.

writeaway Sep 4, 2020:
Are you translating this into English or into Italian? The language pair can be edited if you picked the wrong pair.

The second reference gives a good explanation of the term "TVA acquittée sur les Encaissements"

VAT payable on customer inpayments

it's actually quite hard to translate "encaissements" here as something like "customer deposits" is ambiguous (advance payments). So are other things like "credits" in the sense of when money is credited to a company account or receipts.
Therefore, I'd be interested to see what others make of this and I've only given it a low?

neutral Francois Boye : Not quite! 'Encaissement' = cash collected and disbursed . See the definition in French//What is the definition in French?

Strange that you confuse "encaissements" with "debits". The French word is not hard to understand

VAT deducted from incomings/revenue

How a Value-Added Tax (VAT) Works

A VAT is levied on the gross margin at each point in the manufacturing-distribution-sales process of an item. The tax is assessed and collected at each stage, in contrast to a sales tax, which is only assessed and paid by the consumer at the very end of the supply chain

VAT payable on goods or services (at the point of sale)

VAT (Value added tax) is an administrative headache for a lot of people. It’s charged by businesses on goods or services at **the point of sale**, and as it’s a consumption tax, it’s paid by the end customer, rather than the company selling the goods.

is acquittée paid not deducted

VAT paid at the point of sale (which is also the point of payment surely?). Simply sounds like the VAT due for the services provided...I chose "payable" not paid as it's a quote.
