Catalan to English Other Agriculture hunting wild goats (Mallorca)

Not really sure what they are referring to here. Any ideas?

La tècnica tradicional per agafar aquest cabrum salvatge és molt adaptativa i senzilla: cans falaguers, els cans de caça o eivissencs, canyes d’entre 4 i 6 metres i cordes cabreres, amb una baga (llaç) amb un nus de seguretat per no ofegar l’animal. Quan els terrenys eren molt aspres, o l’oportunitat ho indicava, s’agafaven d’un en un sense massa més estratègia que la velocitat de carrera de cans i homes per aturar l’animal, a barres (de ca) o enrocat.

Lisa McCarthy (asker) Feb 5, 2021: No useful response from agency Hi all, Thanks so much for your time and help with this. Unfortunately the agency was not particularly helpful and couldn't explain the details of this practice so I had to send the text back with '..used dogs to corral the goats', and just marked it up.

Enrocat??? to corner, surround, or possible to cause them to roll up, that is sanre with the loop on the end of the stick???
Lisa McCarthy (asker) Mar 12, 2020: enrocat I thought 'enrocat' was something like corraled / cornered. I watched a video and what they do is let the dogs chase the goats into a place they can't escape from, usually on the edge of a cliff/ a crag over water, etc. But the 'barres' part is a mystery. I can't find any evidence of them bringing equipment like that on the hunts. Unless they refer to some kind of sticks they bring with them.

Helena Chavarria Mar 11, 2020: I've discovered that 'enrocat' is 'castled', so it occurred to me that maybe the animals were chased until they were trapped behind bars (normally used to keep dogs in or out of somewhere) or cages (enrocat). As you know, 'a' often means 'in'.
Lisa McCarthy (asker) Mar 11, 2020: Yeah, I thought of that but can't make much sense of it in this context, although they use dogs. And it's singular. And 'barrres'? Maybe 'dog cordons' - cordoned off by dogs, (don't know if 'barres' could mean that).
