Finnish term

saa mennä ruiskun loppuun

Finnish to English Other Medical (general)
Another excerpt from medical patient notes:

"Aloitettu [lääke] saa mennä ruiskun loppuun piennnetyllä annoksella."

My attempt:
"Started patient on [medication]; can continue, at a reduced dosage, until there is nothing left in the syringe."

(Note: in the original. there is no punctuation in the place where I put the semicolon. I've inferred that it belongs there.)

Olenko tulkinnut oikein?

Thanks

Yes, I think so, although just on its own the sentence doesn't necessarily say that the recording doctor has started the medication, so I'd probably simplify it along the lines of "[Medication] commenced may continue at a reduced dose until the syringe is empty."
