12 grade è incorretto a prescindere, perché corrisponde alla 4a liceo. Il i5o anno sarebbe eventualmente 13 grade ma in USA non esiste. Non c'è corrispondenza.

Negli USA la numerazione è continua a partire dalla prima elementare fino all'ultimo anno delle superiori.
Le classi non sono suddivise in sezioni, poiche' sono gli studenti a spostarsi e non gli insegnanti come in Italia. Quindi ometterei la sezione, a meno che non sia necessaria per una migliore comprensione del testo

Le classi non sono suddivise in sezioni, poiche' sono gli studenti a spostarsi e non gli insegnanti come in Italia. Quindi ometterei la sezione, a meno che non sia necessaria per una migliore comprensione del testo

Senior year (5th) of science-oriented high school
In order to avoid the reference to a term that does not exist in the US, I would stress the fact that it is the last and senior year, the year before college. I think that would give more ground for understanding exactly where to place the 5th year in the corresponding US system. If you say 5th year without specifying how many years are there, you loose part of the meaning implied in Classe 5. I would omit the sezione, it adds more confusion than meaning in this case.
