German term

Continue-Anlagen

German to English Tech/Engineering Engineering (general) washing machines
Dear colleagues,

I would like to know the translation for "Continue-Anlagen". I'm translating an article about a laundry detergent.

Here's the context:

Mengenangaben für Liquisan®B in in g/kg Trockenwäsche. In Continue-Anlagen sind die Dosiermengen entsprechend zu reduzieren und liegen zwischen 4 g/kg (Hotelwäsche) und 10 g/kg (BKL-Lebensmittelindustrie)

Thank you very much in advance!
Cynthia

continuous [continuously operated] machines/systems

... as opposed to batch machines/systems.

See, for example,
http://www.countrywide.net.au/documents/Countrywide_Machine_... (end of document)
http://gerrardmfg.com/aqueous_washing.html (bottom of page)
http://www.fumigationzone.com/MSDS/Epolean Label 0608.pdf (p. 2, top right)

Hychem calls these systems 'continue machines', but I am not particularly convinced of this choice. Compare
http://www.hychem.de/imglib/downloads/produktblatt/deutsch/B... (p. 2) and
http://www.hychem.de/imglib/downloads/produktblatt/englisch/... (p. 2)

agree Edith Kelly : das ist so oder so Denglisch

Klar, nur ist das "Denglisch" ja wenig hilfreich, wenn es um "richtiges" Englisch geht :-)
