I am translating a short story from English to Spanish, however, the author has asked me to put this frase - "I read therefore I am"- in Latin, which I don't speak. Can anyone please help me?

It is seemingly a parody of Descartes' 'cogito, ergo sum,', 'I think, therefore I am.'
