in un libro su uno scandalo americano in cui è coinvolta l'FBI trovo questo reato. Non avendo esperienza di termini giuridici, chiedo lumi a chi ne sa più di me.
Ecco alcuni stralci in cui compare il termine:
1. Entrapment should be scrupulously avoided. Entrapment is
the inducement or encouragement of an individual to engage
in illegal activity in which he would otherwise not be disposed
to engage.
Under the law of entrapment, inducements may be offered to
an individual even though there is no reasonable indication
that the particular individual has engaged, or is engaging in
the illegal activity that is properly under investigation.
He listened, fascinated, as Justice Department officials discussed the
elements of entrapment. It was more a discussion of what was not entrapment,
than what was. Temptation was allowable. It all came down to
the person being tempted. Would he have been disposed to commit this
or a similar crime? That was the key question. If the government virtually
wrestled a person into committing a crime, that was entrapment.
