I have entered "überwiegende Gründe" above, but I am actually interested in an idiomatic rendering of "die überwiegenden Gründe" together with "sprechen dafür, dass" in the following mini-context:
Nach unserer Beurteilung sprechen die überwiegenden Gründe dafür, dass auch durch den Netzentwicklungsplan kein Netzbetreiber zur Vornahme wirtschaftlich unzumutbarer Investitionen verpflichtet wird.
"The overriding grounds (reasons) indicate that ...", for example, does not strike me as being idiomatic.

: Good English statement, yes, saying that there are grounds, but they are not compelling. The German says there are compelling grounds to believe that such and such will not happen.
