For an inscription on a monument
Hello,
I'm looking for a way to refer to "my home" as something more than just a physical space - more like a state of mind or a figurative sense of being at home. As far as I know "maison" is not quite satisfactory for this, and I have heard of using "pays" for a more figurative expression, but that also doesn't seem quite right.

Naturally, the personal pronoun changes based on who is using the expression, i.e "Cyril a récemment perdu son chez-soi, sa maison a brûlé" or "J'ai hâte de retrouver mon chez-moi".
A solution to your problem would be a phrasing like "Je me sens comme chez moi à XCity" or "XCity est comme mon chez-moi".
