English term

Matched Length and Tied

English to Spanish Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering
Hello,

It has to do with a belt drive.

We are talking about the replacement of belts that should be "Matched Length and Tied"

The whole sentence reads: Replace damaged belts with full “Matched Length and Tied” (ML&T) belts only.

Is there an equivalent translation into Spanish?

TIA.

Me parece muy acertada tu sugerencia Daniel, así me evito el problema de Tied vs Type.
Daniel Grau Mar 6, 2011:
Que sería más general... ... "de longitud y tipo idénticos".
Juan L Lozano (asker) Mar 6, 2011:
Gracias Daniel. Pienso traducirlo como: "De longitud y trama (tejido?) idénticos" ¿QUé te parece?
Juan L Lozano (asker) Mar 6, 2011:
Slothm This is all I have regarding this term:
g. Check drive belts for signs of fraying, cracking, or twisting.
Replace damaged belts with full “Matched Length and
Tied” (ML&T) belts only.
I am sorry, but that is all.
slothm Mar 6, 2011:
Could we see the two previous phrases?
Juan L Lozano (asker) Mar 6, 2011:
I am sorry Slothm, but that's the only context I have.
slothm Mar 6, 2011:
Contexto. Belt drives.
We need more context as there are many types of belt drives according to what has to be driven and to their characteristics, length, material, function, form, contact surfaces, jointed/not jointed, high/low traction, rupture strength, heat resistance, etc.

Please Juan, narrow down search possibilities so that we can then be able to help. :)

Solamente encontré esta mención ... que es de hace cinco años:

http://forum.dict.cc/?pagenum=2483&hilite=89223&kw=#entry892...

Según Google, la traducción al alemán dice "tensión" por "tied", pero no sé de dónde la sacó.

¿Tal vez sea "matched length and type"?

De cualquier manera, la sección "Matched Sets" de http://www.bianchicuscinetti.it/download/cataloghi/trasmissi... explica qué es.
