Spanish term

broumoix

Spanish to English Other Cooking / Culinary
I seems the author has tried to mix some French in possibly and made a mess of it. Anyone know what this is supposed to be?

"Canelón de papel de arroz relleno de broumoix de verduras, aceite de almendras y cremoso de bulba de apio."
Proposed translations (English)

Seplilng No, I think the author butchered the French spelling. Brunoise looks right.

High S. Ben, Are you sure of the spelling? I've found no hits whatsoever for "broumoix". I did find 1 hit for "brumoix" (de mango), but no English version. Perhaps you should just put "... stuffed with vegetable "brumoix", almond oil and ...".

brunoise

Probably "brunoise" would the term the author intendend to use. From the french, also used in spanish and english. A type of cut for vegetables.

agree Edward Tully : my first thought too!

Thanks, Edward
agree Isamar : It must be a spelling error and should be brunoise. By the way, finely chopped in this manner it's diced to about 1/8th of an inch.

brunoix

Brunoix is a way to cut the ingredients in really thin slices.
