Georgia Power operates two geographically located Distribution Control Centers (DCC) in its’ territory. One is located about 30 miles south of Atlanta in McDonough, Georgia. It functions as the system operator for the Georgia Power distribution system including providing monitoring and restoration functions. The DCC utilizes several innovative information technologies including an Outage Management System as part of the Trouble Call Management System.
