Describing a pyramid at El Meco in Quintana Roo. I can't get clear pictures/description of it or even the famous structure at Chichén Itza.
En la fachada principal, hacia el oriente, tiene una ancha escalinata con alfardas en cuyos arranques hay, como en el Castillo de Chichén Itzá, sendas esculturas en forma de cabezas de serpiente.
My version seems to omit too much! I don't know how to fit in "arranques" and "sendas" ...
On its front, facing east, is a broad staircase with alfardas (balustrades) with sculptures in the form of serpent heads, like those in the Castle at Chichén Itzá.

Mejor en ing: If one were standing in front of the staircase, one would see a serpent head on the facing blocks of each alfarda? Or if one were standing on the stairs themselves, are the sculptures running up the alfardas, from the foot (arranque) of the staircase to the top? |

On the web page from Wikipedia there is a web image called 'Plumed Serpent' that shows one of the sculptures which presumably are located on the north side of 'El Castillo'.
On the web page from NativeWeb there is a picture of 'El Castillo' and in the text there is another explanation that says it's the pyramid that is called El Castillo.
This could mean that there is a sculpture at the bottom of each side of the staircase as there is at the base of the pyramid ‘El Castillo’ at Chichén Itzá.
