Latin term

Praelii

Latin to English Art/Literary History Landulf the Elder
Hi. Sorry to do this but I need a phrase translated and my profs are all too busy right now.

Vanno bene anche le risposte in italiano!

"...solus, quasi dux theatrum, suos confortando ac cohortando ad bellum regens praelii necessaria ordinabat."

and

"...adortante et tamquam rex imperante."

I have a clue but I need specifics.

Thanks so much in advance!
