Loads of other similar idioms exist. Raise your voice would be somewhat milder but it's a matter of context of course

disagree Eva-Marie Adams : I don't think brusa upp is quite as strong as 'fly off the handle' or throw a tantrum-- in which case the person is going ramped. brusa upp is milder in my oppinion
