I have been using Verifika 2.5.4 for years without any problems, and to my full satisfaction. Suddenly the tool stopped working, i.e. it won't boot at all. Have any of you experienced something similar and come up with a solution?

They stopped support for this standalone product years ago, and now actively push for their SaaS offering. Another yearly subscription, sigh. If I don't succeed in reviving my Verifika, I think I will look elsewhere. I am testing ErrorSpy at the moment. At

At €249 this seems a good alternative, https://www.dog-gmbh.de/en/errorspy-product/ What do you think of this QA tool?

I'm assuming you've tried Xbench, right? That's what I usually use, plus the built in QA in CafeTran, memoQ or Trados, depending on which CAT tool I'm using.

You have to correct the errors manually, if I'm not mistaken. There is no way to correct them in the Excel file generated by ErrorSpy and then import those corrections.

Lack of love Feb 23

I certainly have. Let's just say it wasn't love at first sight. Maybe I should give it another try.

Thanks for reporting, good to know. I also found out that the Freelancer version can't process memoQ XLIFF files.

If you accept online solutions Feb 24

try this workaround.
However I don't quite understand your reasoning. It is only $72 a year. Why do you think a €249 tool would be a better alternative?

I used the standalone version of Verifika for almost 10 years. Now it's an annual fee.
