Had experiences with both:
The airplane is a FedEx DC-10 in which I happen to have jumpseated in in my younger years and I've "met" such a high speed speaker (professor of economics who thought he was before a class instead of a conference) seven years ago.

Currently, I attend classes of finance and the professor, well, he should give class for three hours, but he manages to tell his story in one hour and 45 minutes.
Although a bit slower than in this "old" commercial.
