英語ベースのマシーンで日本語を書いています。これはもちろんＰＣでＭＳにより言語設定をしているわけです。
通常はこれで問題ないのですが、縦書きにしなければならない場合もあります（これはワードで出来ますよね）。
ところが困るのは、一行の字数は何字、1ページの行数は何行と指定される場合です。このやりかたをご存知の方いらっしゃいますか。
もしそれはワードで不可能ならば、字数、行数が自由自在に変更でき、かつＰＣ、ＸＰのマシーンとコンパチのワープロソフトをご存知ですか？
それは日本からの輸入になりますか（米国在住です）。かつまたそのソフトウェアには、すでに述べたような設定（英語ベース、ＰＣの言語設定で書いた日本文）をそのままコピーして（つまりあらたに入力しなくても良い）転換できる機能はあるでしょうか？

私は英語版のVista上、英語版のOffice ２００７を使用しています。
ワードのPage Setupにて固定の行数と文字数のグリッドの設定が可能です。
Page LayoutのSizeの右下のMore Paper Sizes...というボタンを押しますとPage Setupのパネルが表示されます。そこでDocument Gridのページでテキストの方向　（横、縦）、グリッドが有り無し、グリッドがあれば行数と文字数の設定が全部できます。
下記の画像をご参照ください。これはOffice 2007の画面ですが、全版でもできると思います。ページ設定機能をご確認ください。
