Well, I think machine translation software/utilities rather suite the Western languages, especially Romance languages which have a great similarity of grammar and syntax. Even though machine translation programs use segmentation of larger texts, the appropriate contexts would often be missing in the case of Oriental languages like Hindi, Bengali, Urdu and so on. Besides, Indo-European languages involve a great deal of idiomatic expressions and dialectical varieties that should be difficult to cope with using MT tools. However, such programs developed by natives may some day lead to a ray of hope in this regard. ▲ Collapse
