The youtube videos are not viewable here. "Unfortunately, this video is not available in your country because it could contain music from SME, for which we could not agree on conditions of use with GEMA." Wanted to check him out after all these years since "Eat it" and "Fat". He's been going quite a while

Oh Weird Al... Giving a musical voice to all of us grammar Nazis who cringe and want to throw a Merriam-Websters (hard-cover) at the computer screen every time we open Facebook! Thank you for sharing, Miss Dutch

Gail Bond United Kingdom Local time: 11:27 Member (2009) French to English + ... Offensive terms in US vs UK English | Jul 17, 2014 |
A friend of mine has also posted this link on Facebook. Lots of people have commented on the use of the word 'spastic' which is considered offensive here in the UK. I was just wondering whether the term is offensive in US English? Presumably not, otherwise he wouldn't have used it (hopefully!) I'd just like some opinions to be able to feed back to my friend who simply could not believe that the term would not be just as offensive in US English. Thanks!

I'm American and as far as I know, in the US "spastic" just means hyperactive, over-excited, at least that's the way it's usually used.

Terms like "spazz out" are quite common in US English. https://www.google.com/search?q=spazz%20out

Saw Weird Al At My Doctor's Office Once | Oct 3, 2014 |
So surprised that he came back to the limelight. His new album was a best-seller. I used to listen to him when I was a kid. The song "Word Crimes" has been a big hit with teachers, translators, speech pathologists whom I know. Pretty cool.
